Wole Soyinka for INEC Chairman?
Following the expected exit Maurice Iwu as the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), there has been a need for a suitable replacement of the vacant seat. Surprisingly one name came on-board the list of potential nominees, and that is Prof Wole Soyinka.
Others are Ishola Williams, Olisa Agbakoba, Attahiru Jega, Nuhu Ribadu, and Abubakar Umar. However, we want to keep our fingers crossed to see as the scene unfolds...

Nigeria's Finance Minister Becomes World Bank Chairman.
Minister of Finance, Mr. Olusegun Aganga, in Washington D.C. has emerged as the new Chairman of the Board of World Bank and International Monetary Fund, BWIs, after a keenly contested election. The move was a follow-up to the recent parley between Acting President Goodluck Jonathan and top management of the world financial body during his last visit to the United States, US. Aganga told journalists at the meeting in Washington DC that the new appointment had further demonstrated the important role Nigeria plays in the global economic front.
