Homosexuality: The Next Revolution??

Though seen as ‘absurd’ by the majority, the few minority don’t seem bothered about media reports. Homosexuality, taken from the female or male perspective, entails the union or merging of same sex partners for friendship or intimate relationships. This phenomenon has undoubtedly raised many eyebrows within the society especially from the religious bodies and the anti-homosexual groups. Before now, homosexuals whether gays or lesbians often feel timid to come-out openly declaring their status or exhibiting such ‘emotions’ among one another.

Well, time’s past and the same ‘inconsiderate’ society have now turned to a more hospitable one for homosexuals. The human rights decrees state vividly the rights to choose or belong to any association however, not to the detriment of the society at large.
After the stone-age, then came industrial-age, later was emerging to technological-age. And very soon the world might be experiencing the Homosexual-age as well.
I hold no strong opposition to lesbians or gays, this article is borne out of observation. Just about 2 weeks ago, the VP candidate of the Republican party Mrs. Sarah Palin was blasted for her recent comments against homosexuals, and of-course this might have adverse effect on their campaign towards the race for the US ‘White House’. In another development, an actor of the Star Wars fame got married to his same sex partner amidst grand reception; he was pretty happy about the long-awaited wedding. Still on this revolution, it wouldn’t have been imagined the screening of a film on homosexuals in India let alone the star actresses involved. India as a nation is known for strong Hinduism with little regard for gay or lesbian relationships, but soon would be experiencing more flicks promoting such acts. Already a new movie is under way featuring two prominent Bollywood actresses Lisa ray and Shilpa Shetty (though either of these actresses has not been confirmed as real lesbians).
Taking a trip down to Africa specifically Nigeria where the rate of these ‘aliens’ is increasing by the number in spite of criticism against it. And same for other continents of the world.

Consequently, what remains to be seen is the dominance of same-sex partners in our society. The picture is becoming clearer which calls for the need to brace-up for the new revolution?!
